The Kikuyu Law Courts officially reopened on Monday, four months after being burnt down during the Gen Z protests in June 2025. This reopening brings relief to residents, many of whom faced delayed justice.

The new blocks were constructed by the Kikuyu Business Community in collaboration with Religious groups.
Kikuyu Law Court Administrator Duke Mainye assured residents that documents like title deeds and logbooks, which were burnt, would be addressed.
The original courthouse was set ablaze during anti-government protests in remembrance of victims from the June 2024 anti-Finance Bill protests.
