Kibuye Market chairlady Judith Matengo, also known as Nyaramba, has pleaded not guilty to assault charges after appearing before the Winam Law Courts. She was remanded for 7 days with her co-accused, Marion Akinyi, as their bond application is pending.

• Matengo was arrested after a video circulated showing her allegedly assaulting two female traders with a wooden rod at Kibuye Market.
• The Senior Principal Magistrate is Robert Oanda.
• The court directed the accused to be remanded at Kodiaga GK Women’s Prison until Monday, 24th, for their bond hearing.
