The controversy arises amidst intense campaigning for the Mbeere North by-election scheduled for November 27.
Gachagua is campaigning for Democratic Party (DP) candidate Newton Karish, while the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) team, led by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and CS Ruku, supports Leonard Muthende.
