Two candidates in the Kasipul parliamentary by-election, Phillip Aroko and Boyd Were, have been fined Ksh.1 million each by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for their roles in clashes that led to two deaths.

• The IEBC fined Aroko and Were Ksh.1 million each after accusing them of breaching the electoral code of conduct, leading to the deaths of two people.
• IEBC Commissioner Alutalala Mukhwana, Chair Code of Conduct Enforcement Committee, stated that both parties flaunted the harmonized campaign schedule and were not permitted to be in the Opondo area on November 6, 2025.
• The candidates later signed the Political Decency Charter, committing to uphold peace and tolerance in their campaigns for the by-election scheduled for November 27.
