• The instruction was delivered at the central conference on work related to overall law-based governance in Beijing, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law.
• President Xi highlighted significant progress in comprehensively exercising law-based governance since the Party's 18th National Congress in 2012.
• As of October, China had 310 laws in force, over 600 administrative and supervisory regulations, and more than 14,000 local regulations.
