President William Ruto was honored with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) President’s Outstanding Achievement Award 2025 for his significant contributions to football development in Kenya and Africa. The award was presented during the 2025 CAF Awards ceremony in Rabat, Morocco.

• Kenya’s Ambassador to Morocco, Jessica Gakinya, accepted the award on President Ruto’s behalf.
• Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni also received awards for their support of continental sporting initiatives.
• Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda co-hosted the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), and Kenya is preparing to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
• Other awardees included Nigeria’s Super Falcons (Women’s Team of the Year), Achraf Hakimi (Men’s Player of the Year), and Ghizlane Chebbak (Women’s Player of the Year).
