The United Opposition, led by Wiper Patriotic Front party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, has accused the government of planning to rig the upcoming by-elections on November 27th by allegedly offering voters up to Ksh.5,000 to vote for Kenya Kwanza candidates.

• Musyoka claims voters are being asked to photograph their ballots as proof of voting for Kenya Kwanza-aligned candidates to receive Ksh.5,000.
• The opposition has urged the IEBC to address voter bribery and the alleged use of state resources by government officials campaigning for candidates.
• Concerns were also raised about the voter registration process, specifically iris-scanning, registration location, and the deployment of registration kits and personnel, ahead of the by-elections and the 2027 General Election.
• DP party leader Justin Muturi demanded the release of the 2022 voter register and warned the IEBC would be held accountable for any issues with voter names.
