Following the death of his ex-wife, Betty Bayo, Pastor Victor Kanyari of Salvation Healing Ministries has publicly vowed to change his lifestyle and become a more responsible father to their two young children, Sky and Dany. He announced plans to acquire a new home more suitable for raising his children.

• Kanyari stated, "I must now behave; I cannot continue playing around as I used to; I must be very serious because now I have two young children… whom I have to take care of."
• He is set to acquire a Ksh90 million mansion in Runda, Nairobi, which includes a swimming pool for his children.
• The pastor cited his current home's unsuitable environment, often housing over 200 people, as a key reason for seeking a new residence.
