President William Ruto urged the European Union (EU) to support the African Union's (AU) reform efforts to create a more effective continental body. This appeal was made during a meeting with European Union Council President, António Costa, at the 7th African Union–European Union Summit in Luanda, Angola.
- Kenya and the EU's Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) came into force in July 2024, granting Kenya duty-free and quota-free access to the EU’s 450 million market.
