President William Ruto urged the European Union (EU) to support the African Union's (AU) reform efforts to create a more effective continental body. This appeal was made during a meeting with European Union Council President, António Costa, at the 7th African Union–European Union Summit in Luanda, Angola.

• Kenya and the EU's Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) came into force in July 2024, granting Kenya duty-free and quota-free access to the EU’s 450 million market.
• The leaders discussed strengthening cooperation on reforms of the UN and international financial institutions.
• The ongoing conflict in Sudan was addressed, with both parties agreeing that an inclusive political settlement, not military means, is essential for stability.
• The 7th AU–EU Summit, which commenced on Monday, 24 November 2025, focuses on Peace, Security and Governance, Multilateralism, and Prosperity and People.
