The Trump administration announced that foreign tourists will face increased fees to visit popular US national parks starting in 2026. This measure aims to prioritize affordability for US citizens and contribute to park maintenance.

International visitors will pay an extra $100 fee, in addition to existing charges, at 11 popular sites.
The annual pass for non-residents will exceed $250, compared to $80 for US citizens and permanent residents.
The Department of the Interior, led by Secretary Doug Burgum, stated the policy ensures US taxpayers continue to enjoy affordable access.
The fee hike follows a July executive order by President Donald Trump and will coincide with an upgraded online booking system.
US national parks saw over 331 million visitors in 2024, an increase of at least 6 million from the previous year.
