An estimated 2.8 billion people worldwide currently live in inadequate housing, with 1.1 billion in slums and 300 million homeless.
The event, convened by UN-Habitat in partnership with the Government of Azerbaijan, will be held at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
The forum will provide a platform for countries like Kenya, which faces significant housing challenges, to showcase progress and learn from global innovations in housing finance and technology.
WUF13 will culminate in the Baku Call to Action, a global pledge for affordable and sustainable housing solutions.
