A firearm stolen from the bodyguard of Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma during a chaotic clash on polling day has been recovered by police. The incident occurred at Agoro Sare Primary School during the voting period, leading to a swift security operation.

• 23 suspects were arrested, and 11 vehicles and 2 motorcycles were seized in connection with the attack.
• County Police Commander Lawrence Koilem confirmed the recovery and stated the firearm was found abandoned after an intensive search.
• The clash reportedly started when MP Kaluma, acting as the ODM party’s chief agent, encountered a convoy linked to independent candidate Philip Aroko, leading to violence where Kaluma was struck and his bodyguard's weapon was taken.
