Boyd Were of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) was declared the winner of the Kasipul Parliamentary seat by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Friday, November 28. He will replace his late father, Ong'ondo Were, cementing ODM's presence in the Nyanza region.

• His closest competitor, independent candidate Philip Aroko, garnered 8,476 votes.
• The election saw 10 candidates participate across 142 polling stations.
