The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has strongly denied social media claims of altering KCSE marks ahead of result announcements, warning the public against fraudsters soliciting money for alleged exam result editing services. KNEC clarified that all answer scripts are anonymized to protect candidate identities and ensure marking integrity.

• KNEC warned against a scheme where individuals are creating WhatsApp groups to solicit money from parents and students to manipulate scores.
• The Ministry of Education announced that 2025 KPSEA and KJSEA results will be released on December 11, while KCSE results will be out in January 2026.
• A total of 996,078 candidates sat the KCSE exams, and over 2.4 million learners undertook the KPSEA and KJSEA assessments nationwide, with KNEC administering exams to a total of 3,424,836 learners.
