The Kenyan film and theatre industry is mourning the loss of celebrated actor Bilal Wanjau, who passed away in the early hours of Thursday morning due to complications from Diabetes.

• Wanjau's passing was announced by his colleague, actress Sandra Dacha, who described him as a "GREAT TALENTED ACTOR."
• He was widely known for his roles in popular Kenyan productions like Tahidi High, Bazenga, The Runaway, Wimped, Lies That Bind, and the prison drama Jela 5 Star where he played the prison guard Kasoro Bin Kasoro.
• Wanjau is scheduled to be laid to rest on Friday, December 5, 2025, at his rural home in Machakos.
