Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has called for Kenyans to embrace cultural diversity to foster peace, unity, and development, speaking at the 14th Edition of the Marsabit Lake Turkana Cultural Festival in Loiyangalani.

• The festival, themed “Celebrating Our Diversity, Strengthening Our Unity,” was held in Marsabit County and brought together 14 culturally rich communities.
• Prof. Kindiki issued a stern warning to bandits, directing security agencies including the Kenya Defence Forces and National Police Reservists to address insecurity.
• The government allocated Sh1 billion for last-mile electricity connectivity in Marsabit County, targeting 6,100 new households, with Laisamis Constituency receiving Sh142 million for 508 new homesteads.
