The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is refuting recent online allegations of intimidation and bribery within its new Micro and Small Taxpayers Department, labeling them as unfounded smear tactics aimed at derailing significant institutional reforms.

• The KRA’s iWhistle platform facilitated the recovery of KSh 6.8 billion in the last financial year across 821 verified cases.
• The Micro and Small Taxpayers Department, established eight months ago, has rolled out digital service channels including WhatsApp Chatbot Shuru (0711 099 999) and USSD (*222#5#).
• 24 staff were recently dismissed due to corruption allegations at border points, demonstrating the authority's commitment to integrity.
