The African Union (AU) has strongly condemned recent drone strikes in Kalogi, Sudan, which reportedly killed over 100 civilians, including women and children. These attacks, occurring on Thursday, targeted a kindergarten, a hospital, and rescue efforts.

• The AU chairperson, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, expressed being "appalled by the repeated and escalating atrocities committed against civilians" in the region.
• The attacks were blamed on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and their ally, the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) faction led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu.
