The Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) has launched a digital platform to register all engineering projects, aiming to enhance professionalism and ensure proper design and supervision in the sector. This initiative requires engineers to register projects and obtain a unique identification number before submitting drawings to county authorities.

• EBK has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Construction Authority (NCA) and the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS).
• Chief Executive Eng Margaret Ogai highlighted concerns about private developers taking shortcuts and failing to employ registered engineers for designs, leading to issues.
• ACEK President Eng Jane Mutulili emphasized the importance of engaging consulting engineers for project designs, asserting their commitment to excellence and safety.
