DStv subscribers in Kenya are set to lose access to several popular channels, including Discovery Channel and CNN International, from December 31, 2025. This move comes as MultiChoice faces a significant decline in subscriber numbers amid stiff competition.

• DStv's active subscribers in Kenya fell sharply from 1.19 million in mid-2024 to just 188,824 by June 2025.
• The affected channels include Discovery Channel, TLC Africa, TNT Africa, Food Network, Travel Channel, Cartoon Network, and CNN International.
• MultiChoice's GOtv service also saw a decline, dropping to 314,520 subscribers by June 2025 from approximately 2.8 million.
