Kenya and Cuba are set to finalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on environmental cooperation by March 2026, following an agreement to establish joint technical teams to refine the draft.
- The agreement was announced by Principal Secretary Festus Ng’eno after a meeting with Cuba’s Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, Prof. Rudy Montero Mata, and Ambassador Inés Fors Fernández during the Seventh Session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-7) in Nairobi.
