The United States has sanctioned eight individuals and entities, including a retired Colombian military officer, for their involvement in a transnational network recruiting fighters for Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF), exacerbating the ongoing civil war and its humanitarian crisis.

• Among those sanctioned are Alvaro Andres Quijano Becerra, a dual Colombian-Italian national and recruiter, and Claudia Viviana Oliveros Forero, owner and manager of A4SI.
• The RSF, supported by Colombian fighters, captured El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, on October 26, 2025, followed by mass killings and sexual violence.
• The sanctions, imposed under Executive Order 14098, block all property and interests within US jurisdiction and prohibit transactions, aiming to disrupt external support for the RSF.
