The National Police Service (NPS) has welcomed back the first contingent of Kenyan police officers after an 18-month peacekeeping deployment in Haiti, marking a significant milestone in Kenya’s international security efforts. Officials described their return as a “mission accomplished” under the Multi-National Security Support Mission.

• The officers played a key role in improving stability, reopening critical road networks, and supporting the Haitian National Police.
• National Security Advisor Amb. Dr. Monica Juma praised the officers' performance as “a promise kept.”
• The Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service, Eliud Lagat, noted that the operational experience gained will enhance policing capabilities within Kenya.
