The Ministry of Education has released the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) results, marking the transition of the first CBE cohort to Senior School. Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba announced that all 1,130,459 candidates will be placed into Senior School pathways.

75% of learners achieved at least the Approaching Expectation level across all subjects.
Female learners outperformed males in 10 out of 12 subjects in Meeting and Exceeding Expectations.
Performance in Mathematics (32.44%) and Kenyan Sign Language (22.14%) in Meeting and Exceeding Expectations was a concern.
59.09% of candidates showed potential for the STEM pathway.
Senior School placement concludes by December 20, 2025, with learners reporting on January 12, 2025.
