Kenya has launched new initiatives, including the Magical Kenya Souvenir Passport and the Hapa Ni Wapi domestic tourism platform, to boost its tourism sector. These platforms aim to enhance visitor experiences and attract a target of 5.5 million tourists by 2027.

• The Souvenir Passport, available as both a physical and digital platform, allows travelers to collect stamps at each destination, creating a personalized record of their journey across Kenya.
• The initiative was unveiled by President William Ruto during the Kenya Tourism, Wildlife and Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) Week in Nairobi on December 11.
• Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano noted that domestic tourism recorded over 5 million bed-nights in 2024 from formal establishments alone, highlighting its significant growth.
• The Hapa Ni Wapi platform, under the Tembea Kenya banner, will showcase various attractions and tourism packages, targeting younger travelers.
• Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) CEO June Chepkemei stated that these tools will "gamify travel" and promote national pride.
