The Employment and Labour Relations Court has upheld Lipton Teas’ decision to dismiss manager Jackson Kiptorich Limo for sexual harassment, ruling the termination was fair and lawful. Limo, who worked for 27 years at the company, had sought reinstatement and over Sh50 million in damages and lost earnings.

The court found the disciplinary process, including a Notice to Show Cause letter on May 2, 2023, and a hearing on May 5, 2023, to be procedurally sound.
Limo claimed the process was rushed and influenced by a BBC exposé on sexual harassment in tea companies to protect Lipton Teas' reputation.
Justice Anna Ngibuini Mwaure delivered the judgment virtually on December 9, 2023, concluding Limo failed to prove unfair dismissal.
