Detectives arrested four suspects yesterday, December 12, 2025, for a scheme defrauding job seekers with fake National Police Service (NPS) recruitment letters, recovering Ksh700,000 cash. The arrests followed complaints during the recent NPS recruitment exercise.

• Victims reportedly paid between Ksh450,000 and Ksh700,000 for fake recruitment slots.
• The operation by Kamukunji Police Station led to discovering a racket selling fake NPS calling letters in Ngara.
• Police found ten youths at the scene who had paid for fraudulent admission to the NPS Main Campus in Kiganjo.
