The body of former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo arrived at Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi on Saturday, December 13, 2025, following a fatal head-on collision on the Nakuru–Naivasha highway.

Jirongo, aged 64, died at approximately 3 am after his Mercedes-Benz collided with a truck owned by Climax Company.
The accident occurred at Karai area when Jirongo's vehicle reportedly failed to keep to its lane while driving from Nakuru towards Nairobi.
He sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene before his body was moved from Naivasha Sub-County Mortuary.
