The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has successfully recovered a Ksh.21 million public road reserve in Mombasa that was illegally allocated in 1996.
- The Environment and Land Court nullified the title for the 0.13-acre land parcel, ruling its alienation and allocation were unlawful, illegal, null and void ab initio.
- Justice Stephen Kibunja ordered the cancellation of the title and directed the Land Registrar, Mombasa, to rectify the register.
- The land, part of the road reserve for Tom Mboya Avenue (formerly Tudor Road), was first allocated to Isaac Munyi Njeru in 1996 before being transferred multiple times.
