A family in Vihiga County, Kenya, is seeking answers after their kin, Robert Moses Magotsi, a dual Kenyan and South African citizen, died mysteriously in Maputo, Mozambique, on October 11, 2025, and was subsequently cremated without their consent.

Robert Moses Magotsi, a Mechanical Engineer and planning manager for Cape Town City, also owned 51% shares in a Limpopo solar plant.
The family learned of his death from a South African business partner and a woman identified as Wanjiku, who allegedly informed them he collapsed after a morning run.
Wanjiku reportedly cremated Magotsi's body and scattered his ashes in the Pacific Ocean, then allegedly sold his properties and forged a life insurance policy worth Ksh.50 million, naming herself as beneficiary.
The family has reported the incident to the CID in Maputo but no arrests have been made, leading them to appeal to the Kenyan government for assistance.
