President William Ruto rolled out the red carpet for environmentalist Truphena Muthoni at State House, Nairobi, commending her for her efforts in environmental conservation. This recognition followed her 72-hour tree-hugging challenge in Nyeri County.

• Truphena Muthoni was appointed an ambassador for the 15 billion tree planting campaign and received the Head of State Commendation (HSC) Medal.
• The Kenya Wildlife Service and Kenya Tourism Board sponsored a holiday experience for Truphena and her team.
• The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry will support her dream to visit Brazil to broaden her exposure to global conservation initiatives.
