Two Rivers International Finance and Innovation Centre (TRIFIC) has announced the launch of a Sh4.8 billion ($37 million) property investment fund, marking Kenya's first US dollar-denominated "Green" income-distributing REIT.
- The TRIFIC Income Real Estate Investment Trust (I-REIT) will allow investors to earn annual US dollar yields projected above 7 per cent from environmentally sustainable buildings within the TRIFIC SEZ in Nairobi.
- Brenda Mbathi, Chief Executive Officer of TRIFIC, stated that the fund aims to provide consistent recurring income to investors.
- The offering, awaiting regulatory approval, is expected to open in January 2026 and will be listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), with initial proceeds funding the acquisition of the TRIFIC North Tower, which is already 90 per cent leased.
