A man, Boniface Mulinge Muteti, has been charged at Milimani Law Courts for publishing false and provocative information on social media. Detectives from the Special Crime Unit (SCU) arraigned him after a tweet allegedly called for seizing politicians' property and preparing for an uprising.

• Muteti is accused of posting on X on December 6, 2025, urging people to “arm themselves” for an uprising.
• The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) states the post was false and intended to incite violence, violating Section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act No. 5 of 2018.
• Muteti denied the charges and was released on Ksh. 15,000 cash bail; his pretrial hearing is set for December 30, 2025.
