Kenya's State Corporations saw their pending bills decrease by Sh4.2 billion to Sh406.49 billion as of September 30, 2025, according to the Office of the Comptroller of Budget. This marginal improvement comes despite a slight increase in pending bills owed by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

• The total pending bills for State Corporations now stand at Sh406.49 billion, down from Sh410.69 billion.
• Contractors and projects represent the largest share of these bills at Sh195.85 billion (37 percent).
• National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi had previously highlighted efforts to clear Sh229 billion in verified pending bills.
• Pending bills for MDAs increased to Sh118.94 billion from Sh117.67 billion during the same period.
