The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has launched a week-long public engagement program in Garissa County to promote integrity and prevent corruption among citizens and public officers.

• The initiative, led by Deputy Director for Education and Public Awareness Emily Mworia, aims to foster transparency and accountability.
• Collaborations were discussed with Garissa County Commissioner Mohammed Mwabudzo to strengthen ethical conduct.
• A sensitisation forum was held at Garissa University, emphasizing the role of higher education in combating corruption, with Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof Stephen Irura Ng’ang’a receiving the delegation.
• Mworia stated the fight against corruption is won "in offices where decisions are made, in classrooms where values are shaped, in committees where resources are allocated, and in leadership spaces where integrity must consistently shine."
• A public awareness forum at the Garissa Huduma Centre educated staff and the public on reporting corruption, highlighting shared responsibility in the fight.
