Kenya's security leadership has launched a significant initiative to enhance discipline, legality, and coordination within frontline policing. This move comes as senior commanders of the National Government Administration Police Unit (NGAPU) began a sensitisation programme focused on tightening operational standards amid evolving security challenges.

• The programme officially opened on Tuesday by Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service (APS), Gilbert Masengeli, at the National Police College, Embakasi ‘A’ Campus.
• The workshop brings together NGAPU commanders from Nairobi, Eastern, Central, and Rift Valley regions.
• The training aims to reinforce lawful and coordinated policing, covering legal frameworks, command structures, human rights compliance, and community engagement.
