Three suspects have been arraigned in the Kerugoya High Court for the murder of Embu College student Jackline Waruguru Kathuri. They pleaded not guilty and were released on a bond of Ksh.500,000 each.

• The suspects are Collins Muchira, John Brian Kimotho Kamau, and Stephen Muchiri Karani.
• Waruguru's body was discovered on November 22, 2025, in a coffee plantation, severely disfigured with missing body parts.
• A pathologist, Dr Peter Williams, determined Waruguru died of strangulation.
