The Ministry of Agriculture plans to reconfigure two World Bank-funded projects, the Food Systems Resilience Program (FSRP) and the National Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP), to prioritize drought response in Kenya’s Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs). This aims to shift focus from initial plans to immediate interventions and long-term solutions.
- 80 percent of funds from these projects are requested by governors to be redirected to field-level interventions.
