The Ministry of Education has announced that Grade 9 learners who took the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) will receive their senior school placements by Friday, December 19, 2025. Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok stated that learners can check their placements via SMS by sending their assessment numbers to 22263.

1,130,459 candidates sat for the KJSEA exams.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba noted that 59.09% of candidates showed potential for STEM pathways.
The announcement was made during the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) National Delegates Conference in Nairobi.
