A group of suppliers is challenging court orders that have stalled the payment of over Ksh.6 billion allegedly owed to them by the National Youth Service (NYS). These firms are seeking to lift a December 8, 2025, ex-parte order that halted all claims and payments related to Ksh.6.16 billion pending a hearing of an application filed by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

• The total disputed amount across the suppliers is Ksh.6,167,797,655.
• The EACC is accused of retaining original payment vouchers and Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), preventing the companies from fully disclosing their claims.
• Firms involved include Highview Trading, Schoolwork Enterprises, and Newtool Mart Trading, among others, with some linked to individuals like Benson Gethi Wangu.
