The Nairobi County government has initiated a six-month amnesty allowing property owners and developers to regularize unauthorized developments without penalty. This initiative aims to integrate developments into the county infrastructure and reduce disputes.

The amnesty covers developments such as change of use, subdivisions, and building plans, but excludes structures on public land or those violating court orders.
Property owners can submit applications through the Nairobi Planning and Development Management System (NPDMS), sub-county offices, or City Hall.
This follows a 100 percent tax waiver on outstanding land rate arrears, which ran from December 15 to December 31.
