General Charles Kahariri, Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF), reaffirmed the Kenya Defence Forces' (KDF) commitment to operational readiness, personnel welfare, and national security during a recent visit to Kenya Navy Base (KNB) Manda Bay in Lamu County.

• Gen. Kahariri conveyed greetings from President William Ruto and commended troops for their professionalism and dedication, particularly those deployed in Operation Amani Boni (OAB) targeting security threats in the Boni enclave.
• He emphasized operating as a unified force, maintaining alertness, and adhering to mission objectives, highlighting ongoing and planned modernization programs to enhance operational effectiveness against evolving security threats.
• The CDF toured several forward bases including Baragoni, Sinai, Sarira, and BP 27, expressing gratitude for the troops' resilience and conveying festive cheer during the Christmas season.
