Eighty-six inmates were released from Kodiaga Maximum Security Prison in Kisumu as part of a prison decongestion program after judges reviewed over 350 case files.

• 86 inmates were released following the review of more than 350 case files.
• The initiative was led by Presiding Judge Alfred Mabeya and Justice Joe Omido of the Kisumu High Court.
• The team also donated assorted goods to inmates as a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative during the Christmas festivities.
