PCEA Secretary-General Rev. Dr. Patrick Waihenya and moderator Rev. Dr. Thegu Mutahi have been fined Ksh.150,000 and Ksh.100,000 respectively for contempt of court. The fines were issued after they disobeyed court orders by proceeding with an installation despite an existing injunction.

• The total fine amount for the two senior clerics is Ksh.250,000.
• The Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) leaders violated orders that barred the installation of David Nderitu Ndumo as the PCEA Honorary Treasurer.
• Lady Justice Stella Mutuku stated that the clerics were fully aware of the injunction issued on April 8, 2024, yet still participated in the installation.
