The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), through Chairperson Erastus Ethekon, has scheduled four pending by-elections for February 26, 2026. These by-elections will fill vacancies in a parliamentary seat and three county assembly wards.

The by-elections will cover Isiolo South Constituency and Muminji, Evurore, and West Kabras Wards.
Political parties must submit names for primaries by Friday, January 2, 2026, while independent candidates have the same deadline for their names and symbols.
The campaign period will run from Thursday, January 22, to Monday, February 23, 2026.
