India and Oman have signed a significant economic partnership agreement, granting India zero-duty access for over 98% of its exports to Oman. This deal aims to boost bilateral trade beyond $10 billion annually and strengthens India's strategic presence in the Middle East.

• Over 98% of Indian exports will receive zero-duty access to Oman, while India will reduce tariffs on about 78% of its tariff lines from Oman.
• This marks Oman's first bilateral trade deal since 2006 and India's second major agreement this year.
• The agreement excludes sensitive sectors like dairy and tobacco, and is projected to significantly increase Indian gems and jewellery exports from $35 million to $150 million within three years.
