The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has issued a severe warning regarding a sharp increase in cholera cases across the continent, with reported infections more than doubling to over 310,000 cases in 2025. This surge has led to nearly 3,000 additional deaths in 25 African countries.
