Police in Nairobi arrested a 38-year-old man on December 22, seizing fake U.S. dollars after an intelligence-led operation. The suspect was apprehended by Luck Summer Police Station officers after a vehicle search revealed a metallic box containing counterfeit currency.

Sixty-eight bundles of counterfeit U.S. dollar notes, each with 100 fake bills, were discovered.
The suspect was tracked and intercepted in a white Toyota Prado in the Lucky Summer area.
The arrest comes amid a rise in counterfeit cases, including a seizure in August of fake U.S. currency worth USD 560,000 (approximately Ksh70 million).
