A lorry driver was tragically killed and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash at Sachangwan along the Eldoret–Nakuru highway early Tuesday night. The accident occurred when a lorry, losing its brakes, collided with six other vehicles, including two Nissan matatus.

The lorry driver died on the spot, as confirmed by Nakuru County traffic enforcement officer Emmanuel Opuru.
Injured passengers were transported to hospitals including Molo Sub-County Hospital and the Provincial General Hospital (PGH) in Nakuru.
Sachangwan and Migaa are known accident black spots; a similar crash in March 2025 at Migaa killed at least 14 people.
