The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) intercepted a substantial consignment of contraband cigarettes in Mombasa, valued at an estimated Sh72.2 million. This operation highlights KRA's ongoing efforts against illicit trade and for public health protection.

• 1,083 cartons of illicit Supermatch, Dunhill, and Marlboro cigarettes were discovered.
• The interception was a joint effort by the Joint Port Control Unit (JPCU) with support from international partners, including Interpol.
• The consignment originated from Cambodia and declared South Sudan as its final destination.
